What we are:-
Kernow Men’s Society is a “Not For Profit” Unincorporated Association.
How we came about:-
The Society has recently grown out of a group that’s been in existence in the St Austell, Cornwall area since 2014.
Some changes to the group’s previous circumstances lead the members to decide to re-constitute as Kernow Men’s Society, re-jig the committee, create new online presences and generally start afresh.
What we’re all about:-
We meet weekly throughout the year on Thursday from 12.00pm until about 2.00pm at our current venue in St Austell, Cornwall.
We welcome all men from 18 upwards and especially those who’d like to just get out of the house, meet people and make new friends.
We offer friendship, conversation, refreshments and even fraternal support for those that might be feeling a bit low, jaded or in need of a shoulder now and again. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided free of charge and we always welcome new faces.
A few times a year we also organise trips out for ourselves including stuff like football-golf and ten pin bowling and again these are provided free of charge to our members.
Each year we organise a Christmas lunch at a nearby venue for all of our members and again there’s no cost to the individual involved.
We are a friendly bunch and definitely don’t discriminate on the grounds of race, colour, creed, orientation or political affiliation so why not come along and check us out?
The only thing we ask of you is that you are a man of 18 years plus and that you’d like to come along and get involved in the conversation.
Like any collection of individuals, we all have our own thought processes and leanings, however, we are not affiliated to any organisations, political, religious or otherwise, so please don’t think you might not fit in.
Come along, have a cuppa and a chinwag and feel free to stay or leave as you please, we won’t hold it against you!! Also, we are quite happy for you to bring a friend for a bit of support when you first come along, just in case you’re feeling a little nervous.
