Cornwall Community Foundation – Tuppenny Trust Fund
Kernow Men’s Society are delighted to announce that we have been successful with our grant application to The Tuppenny Trust Fund administered by our good friends at Cornwall Community Foundation.
The Foundation’s aim is simple, they bring together people who want to help Cornish communities with projects that make a real difference and they feel that what we do at KMS is worthwhile and worthy of their support.
Whilst there were a few hurdles to jump, as you’d expect, the good people at CCF were helpful throughout the process and a particular mention must got to Sarah Holdaway at the Foundation for keeping the application on track from an early stage.
FundingĀ
Without financial assistance, it’s virtually impossible for small, local community groups to survive, let alone thrive, and KMS is no exception.
We have running costs to cover and trips to organise for the men in the group so that they can get their regular dose of socialising, at no cost to them, in a friendly and welcoming environment so funding of some sort or other is crucial.
This is where organisations like CCF become a lifeline for groups like ours by bringing together a whole range of different grant streams under one umbrella in order to make funding research a whole lot less demanding than it might have been.
Thanks…
So, in conclusion, a resounding thank you to everyone at CCF for seeing that our group is actually doing a good thing within the local community and for seeing fit to support us with their kind and generous grant.
