More Grant Success!
Kernow Men’s Society are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant from Cornwall Rural Community Charity towards the group’s overall running costs.
This grant will allow us to continue offering our group meetings and outings to local men in need of some escape from loneliness, exclusion and social isolation.
These issues are often a precurser to damaging ilnesses such as depression, stress and anxiety and sufferers of those ilnesses can also find benefit from regular social interaction with others.
As such we know how beneficial our get togethers can be and grants such as this one from CRCC are vital in helping small, local support groups like ours to survive and thrive.
Many thanks go to the CRCC team and especially to Darren Chaplin, Mental Health Lead, who planted the idea of applying for the grant and to Sharon Davey, Team Coordinator, who brought it all together!
